Ms. Mae Doephy Mitchell, 81, a Home Maker of Homer Louisiana passed on Tuesday December 18, 2012 at the Homer Memorial Hospital in Homer. Open Visitation will be on Friday December 21, 2012, from 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. at King's Funeral Home in Homer. Ms. Mitchell's Homegoing Celebration Services will be held Saturday December 22, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Antioch Baptist Church in Homer, Louisiana with Reverend Detorian Gipson Officiating. The Committal and Burial Services will immediately follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Homer, Louisiana

When a loved one dies, no words, however reasonable, can take away the pain and the void that you feel. The pain can seem unbearable at times. May "the Father of tender mercies, the God of all comfort" grant the family "the peace of God that excels all thought" during this difficult time.(2 Corinthians 1:3,4; Philippians 4:7, New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures) He knows how you feel because, "He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7, NW Translation of the Holy Scriptures) He says:" And many of them that sleep in the dust of the ground shall awaken." (Daniel 12:2, Holy Bible King James Version) He promises that:" He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8; Psalms 83:18; Exodus 6:3, NW Translation of the Holy Scriptures) So, although the loss of you dear loved one is painful there is hope. So: "Trust ye the LORD forever. For the LORD Jehovah is everlasting strength."-Isaiah 26:4, Holy Bible King James Version.
